SDRL provides clinical and toxicological laboratory services to drug treatment clinics across the country, including those that specialize in rehabilitation and pain management. We realize that accurate drug testing and prompt reporting is critical in properly and fairly treating patients. With twenty-three years of drug testing experience, state of the art instruments and a knowledgeable, technical staff, you can count on SDRL to provide reliable, timely results.

Urine samples are initially tested by immunoassay to determine drug class results. Abnormal urine samples can be re-tested or confirmed in-house using Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) or Gas Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) confirmation methodologies. A TLC or GC/MS confirmation provides more specific analyte data than the initial immunoassay screen.

The unused portion of the urine specimen is stored for thirty days after the initial date of testing. During this time the specimen will be available to add additional tests, perform a re-test or confirmation if deemed necessary by the clinic or physician.

In most cases, specimen results are provided within 24 hours of receipt and delivered via facsimile, SFTP or posted to SDRL’s client-secure web site for immediate access. Confirmation results are usually available with 24-48 hours after initial screening is complete.

In addition to our in-house urine drug testing services, if a client is in need of immediate results we offer a full array of on-site testing products. Our on-site products provide results within five minutes and samples can be sent to SDRL for verification testing.
